Levi van Veluw, ein niederländischer Künstler (*1985), hat eine interessante Methode gefunden, Raum und Landschaft mal anders darzustellen:

Levi van Veluw, a Dutch artist (*1985), has found an interesting method to depict space and landscape in a different way:

Er arrangiert Landschaften auf einem Selbstporträt über seinem Kopf und Oberkörper und erhält so vier Jahreszeiten der anderen Art – Landschaftsmalerei trifft Portraitfotografie (ein weiterer Verweis auf van Veluw hier).

He is arranging landscapes on a self-portrait, on his head and torso, and thus he creates four seasons of a new type – landscape painting meets portrait photography.

In der Pressemitteilung seiner Galerie ronmandos heißt es weiter / More on a press release from his gallery ronmandos:

“This 4-piece series reinterprets the traditional landscape painting, removing plots of grass, clusters of trees, babbling brooks from their intimate 2 dimensional formats and transposing them onto the 3 dimensional contours of his own face. Thus a fresh twist is given to the obsession inherent in the romantic landscape of recreating the world and simultaneously being part of it. The romantic landscape and self-portrait genres are combined as a means of re-examination.”
