C42, Citroen Showroom Paris
20 09 2008I just “rediscovered” photos I’ve taken in Paris, in May this year, that I don’t want to keep away from you. So, not so much text today, but photos :-)
The new showroom of Citroen on 42, Champs Élysées, Paris. It’s a really creative solution for a new builing within the old and time-honoured row of houses on the famous Parisian boulevard. Please consider how small the actual building is.
So, whether you like the rather informal treatment of the historic facades or not, whether you cherish the maybe a little too blunt symbolic language (Citroen triangle logos embedded in the glass facade) – the building is indeed an eyecatcher and worth a peek (or two).
By the way, the cars are presented on a rotating “tree” of platforms in the middle. And the view out of the glass facade from the top might not be advisable for those of you who are a little uneasy with heights – no “ground”, as the glass facade is all over.
