UNESCO world heritage: Berlin Modernism Housing Estate added

The UNESCO world heritage comitee in Quebec has just announced the decision to add the 6 Residential Areas of Berlin Modernism Housing Estate – die Siedlungen der Berliner Moderne – to the World Heritage List (see the Complete List in German/English). So it is now 6 more entries to the World Heritage List in Germany (32 + 6 so far) (see the World Heritage Sites in Germany).

Wohnstadt Carl Legien in Prenzlauer Berg, 1928-30, Bruno Taut

Ringsiedlung in Siemensstadt,1929-34, Hans Scharoun, Martin Wagner

Hufeisensiedlung Britz, 1925-30, Bruno Taut

Siedlung Schillerpark im Wedding, 1924-30, Bruno Taut

Weiße Stadt in Reinickendorf, 1929-31, Otto Rudolf Salivsberg, Martin Wagner
